What to expect at The Broad
The Broad is a contemporary art museum with more than 2,000 works in the Broad collection, including art from the 1950s to the present. The 120,000-square-foot building has two floors of gallery space.
Founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad, the museum was designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler. Its address is 221 S. Grand Avenue, in the Grand Avenue cultural district.
The Broad is about 2.3 miles from Olyver Hotel. If you’re planning your stay around a museum visit, you can browse the hotel’s room options.

Tickets and timed entry
General admission to The Broad is free, but reserving a timed ticket in advance is recommended. Walk-up entry is available daily when capacity allows, and special exhibitions or events may have a separate charge.
General-admission tickets use 15-minute entry intervals. You may enter up to one hour after the time on your ticket, but not before it. The museum admits visitors until 30 minutes before closing, so build that cutoff into your plans.
Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room—The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away (2013) requires an advance reservation. Entry is guaranteed only within 10 minutes of the reserved time.
The Broad releases general-admission and Infinity Mirrored Room tickets monthly, on the last Wednesday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, for visits during the following month. Since ticketing and admission details can change, check the official site before you go.
